Hailed by the Australian Daily Telegraph as a "viola prodigy" Lisa Sung is a laureate of numerous international competitions, including the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition, the Manhattan International Music Competition, and the Gisborne International Music Competition, amongst others. She has been featured live on WQXR, Medici TV and Sydney radio broadcasts, and has performed at prominent venues such as Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, and Seoul Arts Center. She is a guest musician with some of the world's top orchestras, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

An avid chamber musician, she has performed alongside distinguished artists such as Gary Hoffman, Robert McDonald, Paul Neubauer, and Donald Weilerstein. She has participated in prestigious music festivals, including the Music@Menlo International Program, Verbier Festival Academy, Yellow Barn, Perlman Music Program Chamber Workshop, Four Seasons Chamber Music Workshop, Taos School of Music, Krzyżowa-Music Festival, Lac Léman Music Masterclass, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and IMS Prussia Cove.

Lisa recently earned her Graduate Diploma degree at the New England Conservatory with Kim Kashkashian. She has her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Juilliard School where she studied with Paul Neubauer and Cynthia Phelps as a proud recipient of the inaugural Kovner Fellowship. Starting in the 2023-24 season, she will be joining the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra as their newest member.
